Using Newspaper Articles in Online English Courses
Online newspapers are a great resource for English learners and teachers in any online English course. They are generally free to use and can be accessed from all over the world. Newspaper articles are for learners who have a higher level of English as the English isn’t modified for learners and are they are written in a journalistic manner. Certain newspapers have special sections for online learners where they modify the article for the English learner.
A teacher can decide to send the chosen article over to read before the lesson, or to introduce it into the lesson. If the article is sent over before, the teacher will then engage in a conversation about the article by asking general questions, general and specific. If the article isn’t sent over before the online English lesson, the teacher should introduce the topic of the article, eliciting the subject through questions. If problematic language is used then it is probably better to send the article ahead of time, so that the student can look up any words or phrases they don’t know.
The next stage is for the student to read the text out loud. This is an important stage on any online English course. The tutor should check for any pronunciation mistakes or errors by writing these down and then typing them in the chat box once the student has finished reading. Each error or mistake should then be pronounced properly by the tutor followed by the student repeating through drills. At this stage any new vocabulary or grammar points should be explained.
The Benefits of Online Learning
While there are all kinds of benefits that are associated with learning and furthering your educational goals there are even more benefits to those who wish to pursue online learning in order to achieve those goals. I hope you will find that many of these benefits are quite enlightening and carefully consider whether or not online learning for your secondary education needs will be in your best interests.
1) Convenience. This is a word we are quite familiar with. Right along with instant gratification. We are a society of people who have lived with drive through banking and fast food and are rapidly moving in the direction of drive through pharmacies and dry cleaning. We live in a fast paced world and when we can work education into our busy schedules and on our own terms we find that this is something we tend to like a lot. I recommend that you watch for a growing number of online classes and online students in the coming years as more and more professionals decide to further their degrees and their careers.
2) Flexibility. You can take these classes or do the work during your lunch break, while the kids are practicing soccer, or while cooking dinner (depending of course on how well you multitask). You do not need to be in the classroom every night at 6:00 pm for the next five years in order to get the same degree of education. This by no means indicates that you will not have to do the work. The work will not change nor will the fact that you have a limited time in which to complete the work. What will change is that you will have the option of doing the work in the morning, afternoon, or after those 2 a.m. feedings when you can’t seem to get back to sleep.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Taking Classes Online
There are advantages and disadvantages to online education. It is important to understand these in order to be a successful online student. It is also important to remember that an online education is not right for everyone. By the end of this article you should be able to determine if online education will work for you.
On Your Time
One of the biggest advantages of online classes is being able to enter your classroom when it is convenient for you. Do you work all day? Then you can log on to your class in the evening or on the weekend. Are you an early riser? You can log on to your class in the early morning hours. Your virtual classroom is open twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.
While logging into your virtual classroom at your own time is an advantage, it can also be one of the biggest disadvantages of an online course. Sometimes not being obligated to a certain day and time can lead to procrastination. Before you know it the second week of class has arrived, but you haven’t started on week one’s assignments. Once you get behind it can be difficult to catch up. This emphasizes two important qualities that a successful online student should have: self-motivation and self-discipline. Good time-management skills and effective study habits are also necessary.
The Benefits of an MBA Go Far Beyond Your Resume
Many in the business world associate an MBA with reaching the pinnacle of success while others view it as more of a requirement to be taken seriously in the employment market of the business world. While both viewpoints certainly have their merits, neither encapsulates the true purpose of earning a Master’s in Business Administration degree. Certainly, there are those who hold MBA degrees and have poor business acumen or are incapable of ever becoming productive leaders in the business community. Likewise, not all MBA programs are of the quality that will truly benefit the postgraduate students enrolled in them. These truths aside, the real benefit of an MBA degree lies in what can happen when a motivated individual enters a program that provides instruction on how to be successful in the face of adversity.
Without a doubt, technical knowledge of current business practices is something that most MBA programs cover in-depth, and for good reason. Running a company isn’t a matter to be taken lightly, especially with all the finite details that must be attended to by all levels of corporate management on a daily basis. Still, what many fail to consider is the importance of leadership curriculum and how it can shape the thought processes that allow many to effectively manage their enterprises.
Even those who are not traditionally adept at dealing with others can gain a wealth of experience through an MBA degree program. In addition, self confidence for having completed a difficult course of study can provide a sense of achievement that will carry over into the workplace. Online MBA programs are especially proficient at instilling a sense of self discipline that consummates a better understanding of the inherent capabilities many never realize they have.
An MBA does indeed look impressive on a resume, and by its very nature can open doors that otherwise wouldn’t be available to be opened. More importantly, though, it can provide those in the business world a better understanding of what it takes to be a leader, a visionary and someone who can find success and opportunity where others have found failure and status quo.
